 Safari World, Thailand’s biggest zoo!

Just 40 kilometers outside of Bangkok’s city lies Thailand’s biggest zoo – Safari World Bangkok. Undoubtedly Thailand’s most popular zoo and animal park with a great deal of entertainment and recreation variety, the park houses hundreds of animals from across the globe and is divided into two main sections: Safari Park and Marine Park.

While the Marine Park is home to animals from sea, land, and air, Safari Park will take you to explore Bangkok wildlife with exotic animals like ostriches, lions, giraffes, and many more.

Often considered as the perfect family destination and the best zoo to visit in Bangkok, Safari World offers opportunities to discover the beauty of nature and wildlife for both adults and kids while having loads of fun! And more than just an animal park, you’ll also get to enjoy 8 uniquely different shows such as Orangutan boxing show, sea lion show, dolphin show, and Hollywood Cowboy stunt show.

Apart from living shows, Safari World also houses exciting attractions featuring white tigers, tropical rainforest aviary, fancy carp garden, not to mention breathtaking tiger & lion feeding shows you can enjoy. But, before heading out for a day out with animals and thrilling rides, here’s what you should aim to get the best experience in approximately 7 hours at Safari World Bangkok.

  1. Drive through animal kingdom at Safari Park

The safari drive-through offers a chance to explore Thailand’s greatest open zoo and witness wild animals from Africa and Asia – exotic animals including lions, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, deer, tigers, and many others on an 8-kilometer African safari like wilderness for approximately 45 minutes. If you’re lucky, some animals might come close to the window of your vehicle for a memorable experience.

A separate area enclosed by double gates is the home of the lions and the Bengal tigers. Every morning at 10 am the lions and tigers are being fed, which can be observed by visitors and is an unforgettable experience.

Explore Marine Park where there are a variety of marine animals and shows of trained dolphins, birds, seals, and apes, and get better acquainted with underwater wildlife with some fabulous animal shows.

You should visit Marine World in the middle of the day since most of the area is covered and you can avoid walking around in the sun. Also head to the Egg Island where eggs of different species of birds have been kept on display for your viewing pleasure.

  1. Get the authentic jungle safari experience on Jungle River Cruise

If you have extra budget, purchase an extra ticket and take your experience in Safari World up a notch with a 30-minutes boat trip deep inside a tropical forest, the natural habitats of Asia and Africa, where you’ll drive past the scenic environment of Safari World and get up close and personal with some rare and endangered species.

Located in the Marine Park section and especially fun for children, Jungle River Cruise is a truly remarkable experience.

  1. Walk and explore the mystic woods with Jungle Walk

Preserve your travel memories by taking a trip to Jungle Walk – a once in a lifetime opportunity to take a leisurely stroll through a simulated jungle where you will get to encounter many kinds of native species living in the wilderness.

The jungle is intentionally designed to be as huge and dense as any actual jungle to add authenticity to the experience, so you should always follow the direction signs to avoid getting lost.

There are many fun shows that run through various slots throughout the day.
